Automotive and mobility

The automotive and mobility sector is a structuring pillar of Moroccan industrialisation and a major driver of regional development in Africa.

Supported by integrated industrial ecosystems and strong attractiveness for international investors, this sector relies on complex value chains involving manufacturers, equipment suppliers, suppliers and logistics operators.

Beyond industrial considerations, these operations require precise legal structuring, integrating contractual, customs, tax and regulatory dimensions, as well as the management of international flows.

HLF International supports sector players in structuring and securing their operations, from industrial establishment to the deployment of regional distribution networks.

Case Study — Structuring a multi-jurisdictional distribution network
Case Study — Structuring a multi-jurisdictional distribution network

HLF International supported an international industrial group in structuring its distribution network covering several African jurisdictions, as part of a regional deployment strategy.

The project involved the implementation of a set of contractual relationships between the group and its local distributors, in a heterogeneous legal environment subject to regulatory constraints varying from country to country.

The firm advised on the structuring of distribution agreements, including the definition of territorial exclusivities, performance obligations, supply conditions and termination mechanisms.

Particular attention was given to the standardisation of contractual documentation, in order to ensure consistency across the network while allowing for local adaptations.

HLF International also analysed the regulatory constraints applicable in the various jurisdictions concerned, particularly in relation to competition and commercial distribution.

Key issue: secure deployment of a regional distribution network ensuring continuity of commercial flows.
